Wiivolution Now Gaming Forecast: January

Hap-py New-Year! Welcome to Wiivolution Now, the internet’s best for unbiased and honest Wii game reviews with the gamer in mind. Well here we are, 2010. No flying cars or robot apocolypse in sight but we’ve definitely a lot of titles to look forward to in the coming months of this year. Here’s a few of the games that we’re excited about playing in 2010:
The Sky Crawlers Innocent Aces
Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars
No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
LEGO: Harry Potter Years 1-4
Endless Ocean 2 : Blue World
Red Steel 2
Monster Hunter Tri
Sin and Punishment 2
Shiren The Wanderer
Fragile Dreams Ruins of the Farewell Moon
Arc Rise Fantasia
Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
Trauma Team
Epic Mickey
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Metroid Other M
Zelda [Untitled]
Most of these games have been given solid release dates while others have been given place holder dates, such as the last three titles on the list. Whatever the case may be though, Nintendo fans and Wii owners have reason to rejoice over a solid year of gaming that awaits them in 2010.
This month we’ve got three great titles to look forward to. First up is The Sky Crawlers Innocent Aces, a dog fighting flight sim based on the popular Japanese Anime movie of the same name.
Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom will finally make its North American debut along with some character changes and a small change to the name: Ultimate All-Stars. This is a 2-D fighting title that will easily be a the Wii’s definitive fighter. We actually imported the Japanese version of the game during it’s release in 2008, and we can honestly say that if you’re a gamer that fancies some 2-D, 2-on-2, arcade style fighting, then this is your ticket.
Finally, the Wii will see the return of Travis Touchdown in No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle. Over-the-top violence and gore, Otaki lead character with a pro-wrestling past and perverted mind? We know, sounds like a jumble of random ideas for a game, and while the lead protagonist Travis, definitley isn’t for everyone, the game’s forumula served itself well in the first NMH title. Let’s hope Suda 51 has addressed the flaws of the original NMH’s in Desperate Struggle.
This month will also mark the 1 year anniversary of Wiivolution Now. To mark this occassion and to show appreciation to our readers we’ve decided to give something back.
